We sometimes say, "If walls could talk." In reality, spaces truly speak for themselves; they come alive. They convey their needs, what they like or dislike. Feng shui is an ancient wisdom that facilitates this expression of spaces; it is their language, their voice.
The two words that make up Feng Shui mean 'Wind' and 'Water'; in other words, the two great forces of nature...
The most fundamental knowledge passed down from ancient times to the present day is that to be happy, peaceful, and healthy in life, one must live in harmony with nature. Perhaps the most serious damage caused by modern life is that it distances us from this harmony.
We build the buildings, we arrange and decorate our homes, but the life energy present in our spaces continues to shape us. It is the life energy they contain that transforms our homes and offices, and commercial areas from being just four walls into living spaces.
Beyond being merely a motivational factor and positive thinking, nature, of which we are a part, unconditionally offers us the wisdom and equipment to help us get back on our feet, achieve our goals, and, more importantly, bring balance to our lives.
If we also bring our spaces into harmony with the life energy in nature, our homes, our offices, will become our most important supporters, providing us with strength and inspiration, and increasing our luck in life, without a doubt.
So, how do we create spaces that are in harmony with nature?
It is at this point that **Feng Shui**, a very ancient and timeless body of knowledge, guides us. This ancient wisdom, even in today's modern life, shows us ways to remember nature, to benefit from the life energy present in our living environment, and to live in harmony with this energy.
Just as your energy changes and you feel nourished and recharged when you eat well, exercise, read a book you thoroughly enjoy, spend time with friends who make you feel good, or take time to rest when you realize you need it, and in many other situations that support your well-being, the arrangements you make in your home or office to align with the life energy in nature will also change and improve both your home's and your own energy.
Open House Feng Shui
The open-plan areas of the house, specifically the East-Northeast regions together (without intervening walls), possessed the vibrant, strong abundance energy we desired. By placing the living spaces in this area, we naturally activated the energy of abundance. One of the focal points for a family with children was the placement of bedrooms. In a house with two small children, our priority was to correctly design the children's spaces. In the North direction, suitable sleeping positions were chosen, supported with balancing elements, colors, and decoration, and bed orientations were determined.
Okra Restaurant and Bar Feng Shui
When applying feng shui in commercial spaces, there are many elements we pay attention to, with prosperity being paramount. At Okra, we designed the magnificent view, dining, and bar area to support prosperity energy. We enhanced it with colors, mirrors, plants, and of course, art. It's impossible not to feel the powerful energy in the space when you walk in...
Type House Feng Shui
One of the home projects I enjoyed working on was located in a wonderfully auspicious area, and we further enhanced it with the right arrangements. We took precautions in the bedrooms for health. With the homeowner's taste and the architect's constructive approach to the subject, a lively, vibrant, and feel-good home emerged, making it a joy to live in.
For a Feng Shui analysis, you need the floor plan, the building's construction date, compass directions, front facade determination, external environment analysis, and the birth information of the individuals who will be living in the space. I kindly request the floor plan, the building's construction date, and birth dates from you. After I perform all other measurements myself and evaluate all the information together, the Feng Shui map of the space will be generated. Then, I will present solutions and recommendations on the floor plan.
With a Feng Shui analysis, we create an energy map of a space. Based on this, we identify good areas and challenging areas. Our goal is to spend more time in good areas and activate the energy in these areas, and to reduce the effects of challenging areas by providing solutions for them.
At the end of the analysis, we use the 5 elements when creating solutions. The resulting energy map tells us which area needs which element and for which functions (sleeping/working, living) it is suitable.
The most fundamental knowledge passed down from ancient times to the present is that the secret to being happy, peaceful, and healthy in life is to be in harmony with nature. If we align our spaces with the life energy in nature, the homes we live in, the offices we work in, become our most important supporters, giving us strength and inspiration, and increasing our luck in life.
